Parallel Engraver

A wooden device consisting of two rulers. At the top end of each ruler is a metal point that can carve wood or engrave metal. The rulers fit into a wooden block that keeps them parallel. In the center of the block is a groove with pieces of wood inside that fix the rulers in each operation as needed. When the rulers are fixed, the engraver can be placed close to the edges of the body being engraved and by pulling with the points on the material, the engraving is performed in two parallel lines. It was used for marking mainly by carpenters or locksmiths
